As we study 3.NBT.1 (rounding numbers to the nearest ten and hundred), we became digital rounders! Over the last week students worked on a rounding project with technology at their fingertips. Each student had $1,500 to spend on a new addition to their family. They browsed the Toys R Us website to shop around. They were critical thinkers in deciding whether to round to the nearest ten or hundred. They were also problem solvers when explaining their reasoning.
